Montpellier Guided walk Grasslands of the banks of the Mosson
Operated by Montpel' A Velo
Overview
This very green route divides between bucolic parks and history Start from the city centre and head to Ovalie, one of the last areas of Montpellier around the Yves-du-Manoir sports complex built in 2003 for the 2007 Rugby World Cup. You will take the rue du mas du Jaume which leaves the district and runs along the vineyards of the Rieucoulon area to join the chemin du Bugarel which passes through nature. Then you will go around the Terral park to reach the banks of the Mosson. After a break in these bucolic meadows, you will take up the bicycle to admire the fountain of the church of Laverune and you will visit the park of the sumptuous castle of the Bishops, residence that welcomed Catherine de Medici. Return to Montpellier via the new bike paths through the Paul-Valéry district.
