Overview

Visit and wine tasting at three châteaux in this wonderful but often overlooked region. It is in fact the birth place of the wines of Bordeaux and there are beautiful woods, and slopes down to the Rivers. It is this region that gives you the unique chance to taste a range of Bordeaux wines; its wonderful red wines, crisp dry and complex white wines (this is the best region for whites in Bordeaux) and delicious sweet wines (made from the mystical 'noble rot'). Grand picnic lunch in the gardens of a family château where we will see behind the scenes. This will give you a wonderful insight into the diversity of Bordeaux, its wines and its history. We will try and meet those involved with the winemaking process to get an insider's view. Unique insight into Bordeaux. Bigger numbers are possible, transport costs go up slightly.
